OK, I know. Advertising is too expensive. Small businesses simply can’t afford it and there’s no use crying about it. That’s just the way it is, right? Wrong!
You can blow oodles of money on the Internet, just like with anything else in life, so if you hear someone complaining about how expensive the Internet is, they are telling the truth. But it doesn’t need to be that way. If you know what you’re doing, you can keep Internet advertising inexpensive or even free:
- Yellow Pages. If you attract many of your customers with printed Yellow Pages directories, you’re missing the boat if you’re not listed in the Internet Yellow Pages. It’s free.
- Paid search. Free paid search sounds like an oxymoron, but it does exist if you know where to look.
Advertising doesn’t need to blow your budget, if you do it the skinflint way.
