About Monica Piccinini

With nineteen years of IBM experience, Ms. Piccinini is currently the manager of the ibm.com Site Architecture team, responsible for creating technical solutions and architectures for the www.ibm.com site which address business requirements, enhance the site experience and continue to technologically advance the site in innovative ways. In her career with IBM, she has held various developer, team lead, architect, and technical manager roles. Her experience ranges from mainframes up through the latest Web technologies, including an in depth knowledge of Financial applications, as well as web site architecture and strategy.

Her technical experience includes: Web Architecture and Technologies; Database Architecture and Management; Web Personalization; and Software Application Development. She has managed teams of architects in the delivery of major projects including: ibm.com's 1x2x, IBM's Virtual Business Center and the Blue Central ISV Beta. She was an IT Architect for Personalization on the ibm.com website; the Technical Team lead for IBM's Real Time Ledger System; and the Technical Architect for Globalization of the Common Ledger System.

Ms. Piccinini is a graduate of the Ancell School of Business at Western Connecticut State University.
