Personalization Is for Big Companies, Right?

You might have heard lots of talk about personalization, and perhaps you have even taken some steps to personalize your own Web site. But most small businesses haven't. Some might find the whole concept intimidating. Others might believe that it requires technical ability or resources unavailable to them. Neither has to be the case. I think personalization can be done by small companies. Yes, a degree of technology is required, but for instance you can easily create a segmented email list for your major customer groupings, refer to them by first name and even remember their birthdays, all very easily with something like Aweber.

This level of personalization isn't that difficult to achieve, but can be quite powerful, especially for small business.

Totally agree, Jonathan. Don't let yourself be intimidated by technology. Figure out what your customers need and then find a technology that does it. You can do that whether you are big or small.
